Episode Description of MTV TR3S

At first glance, Yisel and Max might seem like your typical soon-to-be-married couple. But everyone has a story to tell and Yisel and Max’s love story is anything but average.

First of all, Yisel comes from a traditional Catholic Mexican family where the norm is for the woman to serve her man at all times no matter what; Yisel won?t have any of that.

On top of it all, she has been putting up with her mother setting her up with “nice Mexican boys” all because she is the oldest of four siblings where two have already gotten married. Enter Max, the dashing Air Force pilot who seems like everything Yisel has dreamed about in a man. Not so fast though.

There’s a catch: Max lives in a different state, moves frequently from military base to military base, he’s five and a half years Yisel’s junior and must be married by a rabbi, per his father’s wishes. All these obstacles have turned Yisel into such a stressful mess that she’s lost almost 15 pounds! And if that wasn’t enough, she’s been forced to find a rabbi all by herself in addition to planning her own wedding because Max is so far away. Will she be able to make it to the altar in one piece or will she lose it all to a nervous breakdown?

With QUIERO MI BODA, MTV Tr3s takes an inside look at cross-cultural weddings and the hustle and bustle surrounding them. Weddings are a special event in the life of a couple: a day where not only two people join in matrimony but also a day when two families unite.

Now imagine these two families being from completely different cultural backgrounds: different tastes, traditions and sometimes even different languages. Mexicanos con Cubanos, Dominicanos con Gringos, or even Puerto Ricans with Asians! You get the picture… That is QUIERO MI BODA, a show that will go behind-the-scenes as these unique couples’ lifetime unions come to life.

A primera vista, Yisel y Max parecen la típica pareja pronto a casarse, pero todos tenemos una historia para contar y la historia de amor de Yisel y Max no es nada de lo normal.

Primero, Yisel viene de una familia tradicional Católica-Mexicana donde la norma es que la mujer le tiene que servir a el hombre todo el tiempo y en cualquier circunstancia; pero Yisel no quiere saber nada de esa tradición. Aparte de todo, también a tenido que soportar a su madre buscándole “un buen muchacho Mexicano” solo porque es la mayor de cuatro hijos de los cuales dos ya están casados.

Max es el radiante piloto de las Fuerzas Aéreas quien parece tenerlo todo que Yisel sueña en encontrar en un hombre. Pero no todo es color de rosa! El problema? Max vive en un estado diferente, se traslada frecuentemente de base militar a base militar, es cinco años y medio más joven que Yisel y aparte tendrá que casarse por un Rabbi por deseos de su padre.  Todos estos obstáculos han vuelto las cosas tan estresantes que Yisel perdió casi 15 libras de peso! Y si eso no fuera suficiente, le toca encontrar un rabbi encima de planear su boda sola ya que Max está lejos. Podrá llegar a el altar completa o se desbastara en un ataque de nervios?
